Raynetta J. Smith: Chief Branding Officer
A native of Nashville, TN, Raynetta Smith has been in PR and communications for more than eight years. She obtained a bachelor’s of science in speech and theatre with an emphasis in mass communications from Tennessee State University (TSU). Upon graduation, she joined Seigenthaler Public Relations as an account coordinator, supporting clients like Adventure Science Center, Big Comfy Couch, Nashville School of Law, MeHarry Medical School and Centerstone, among others. After “getting her feet wet,” Smith returned to TSU as the media relations specialist and was instrumental in building relationships with local and higher education media outlets as well as developing an internal newsletter, of which she served as editor.
After more than three years as a specialist, Smith moved into the role of Public Information Officer. As the youngest professional to ever serve in this role, Smith worked to continue improving the image of the university. It was during this time, she spent several years freelancing. She has worked with a number of clients leading several industries including a GRAMMY award-winning producer, top-tier culture blog and celebrity DJ.
Because her extensive background and expertise, she was recruited by Burrell Communications in Chicago to join their team as a senior account executive on the McDonald’s USA account. Smith managed and assisted with various large-scale engagement marketing events for McDonald’s Corporation including its participation with ESSENCE Music Festival and 365Black Awards. She was also the editor of the National Black McDonald’s Operators Association (NBMOA) quarterly newsletter. After leaving Burrell, Smith relocated to Los Angeles and worked in a contract role for an agency, where she supported the Jamba Juice account.
Smith is currently the communications associate for a local non-profit in the early education sector. She created PiperRae PR to fulfill her desires of continuing services in entertainment, fashion and lifestyle PR, with the belief that small agencies can offer big results. Her expertise, interests and determination, lead Smith to believe PiperRae will be a lasting fixture in the industry.
Kim Moore: Copy Editor
A native of Chicago, IL, Kim Moore is a high energy, dedicated results oriented professional with a demonstrated history to educate and inspire through various forms of multimedia. Moore has a passion for anything involving the world of communications and often pursues her gift through writing short stories and poetry. Through her experience as a staff writer with F.I.N.E. Success magazine, Moore has written several cover stories and various articles including interviews ranging from former WWE Wrestler turned motivational speaker, Marc Mero to CEO's of multi-million dollar companies. Her print resume continues to expand as she continues to introduce fresh talent and thriving businesses to readers.
Charity Coleman: Graphic Designer
A native of Washington, D.C., Charity Coleman, is a premier designer known for visualizing ideas and turning them into marketing masterpieces. A graduate of University of North Carolina at Greensboro and the Maryland Institute College of Art, Coleman has an extensive background in graphic design, branding and web design. As a product designer for PhotoBiz LLC, she worked closely with product, management, marketing and development teams to deliver quality content on demand. Her work speaks for itself; if you think it, she can create it. In 2012, Coleman's team won “Team of the Year,” and she was awarded "Most Outstanding Support Agent" for her work as a search engine optimization specialist. Coleman has a history of upselling and collaborating with the best of the best, creating high-quality websites offering corporate site branding and structure for companies and agenecies to be more competitive in their industry.
